What is Counseling? Counseling is an interactive process in which a client shares things about their life with a counselor. A bond is formed between the two of them, and the counselor guides the client on a journey to address their problems. The main aim of counseling is to help the client understand themselves better. What are the benefits of the Counseling? Counseling can help you in several ways. First and foremost, it helps you understand yourself better. It also explores the problems and the potential options you have. The counselor can also help you with developing strategies to combat several difficulties. What I can expect from my first Counseling Sessions? What is Test-based Therapy? Is it effective?   Text-based therapy is a form of therapy conducted purely through textual means. Confidentiality Agreement This Confidentiality Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between you, the Student (i.e., an individual receiving psychological counseling) and Ms. Preeti Mehra , Psychologist  (hereinafter referred to as "the Psychologist/Counselor"). 1. Confidential Information All personal, psychological, emotional, or medical information shared by the Student with the Psychologist/Counselor during the course of counseling sessions shall be treated as strictly confidential . This information will not be disclosed to any third party without the Student’s explicit written consent, except under the circumstances outlined in Section 2 below. 2. Limits of Confidentiality a. Safety Concerns: If the Student is at risk of causing harm to themselves or others, the Psychologist/Counselor is ethically and legally obligated to inform appropriate authorities or individuals (such as emergency contacts, law enforcement, or health professionals) to ensure safe...

In this session, she shared insights into her professional journey, therapeutic approach, and the scope of psychological services available to students. The interaction aimed to establish rapport, encourage openness toward mental health conversations, and lay the foundation for a supportive and safe psychological environment within the institution. Her introduction also focused on normalizing help-seeking behavior and promoting emotional well-being among students."

STRESS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

 Ms.Preeti Mehra conducted a structured and insightful workshop on Stress Management , designed to help individuals develop psychological awareness and practical coping strategies to manage everyday stress effectively. The workshop began with an in-depth exploration of the nature of stress , its physiological and psychological impact, and how chronic stress can contribute to issues like anxiety, low mood, irritability, and difficulty in concentration. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their own stress responses , personal triggers, and patterns of coping that may no longer be serving them.
